Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment has launched a special programme called Scheme for Promoting Young Talents in Science (SPYTiS). Students from schools, polytechnic colleges and those admitted to undergraduate level courses in colleges will be selected every year for doing a science project under SPYTiS-I and SPYTiS-II schemes.
- Identify and nurture young talents among school children to carry out science projects (SPYTiS- I)
- Provide research support to young talents enrolled in polytechnic colleges and undergraduate courses in colleges for doing science projects (SPYTiS-II)
Who can apply?
Students from schools, polytechnic colleges and those admitted to undergraduate level courses in colleges
Under both schemes, grant will be sanctioned to the host institution and the student has to work under the guidance/supervision of a teacher. The awardees shall be requested to participate in a Science Talent Fair, Children Science Congress or Kerala Science Congress organized by KSCSTE for presenting their projects/findings.
One year for both schemes (SPYTiS- I &I I).
