About the Speaker: Prof. Mitre Costa Dourado is an Associate Professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His main research areas are Algorithms in graphs, Combinatorics, Convexity Theory, Graph theory and related topics. He has published more that 50 research papers on various scientificjournals. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Bahia (1999), a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2001) and a PhD in Systems and ComputerEngineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005). He is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, working in the Postgraduate Program in Computing (PPGI) since 2006.
